This activity is built in IntelliPics Studio 3® and utilizes the original Electronic Storybook template created by Karen Sheehan. The story is a simple one: the story of a mosquito, a frog, a heron, a lion, a big game hunter and another mosquito.
In the early parts of the story the child can either read the story and look at the pictures on each page or click on the text box to have the story read to them.
Then in the middle of the story something happens that kicks off the chain reaction, and each page is read and advanced automatically through the end of the story. The kids we have worked with have gone back multiple times to “read it” and it continues to hold their interest and laughter.
Also additionally note that the images of the mosquito and the big game hunter are from the Nova Development Art Explosion Collection of over 800,000 images. The use of these images in other activities is prohibited unless you own a copy of the collection, as prescribed by copyright law.
